Linalool free beauty products : Drugstore edition

Linalool is an element of multiple essential oils such as orange, lavender, rose, rosewood and corriander which holds a floral scent.  Whilst in a pure form it isn't a skin allergen, when oxidized and used in cosmetic purposes allergic reactions can appear.  Recently one of my closest friend was tested to extreme lengths until it was discovered that Linalool was no longer a product she could skip hand in hand down the road with, so after countless research and hunting, this my palski is for you.  The linalool free drugstore makeup edition...

Soap & Glory solar powder, Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara, Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm, Too Faced Natural Eyes, Bourjois Healthy Balance, Bourjois Healthy Mix, Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream, Gosh Cosmetics Flower Power, L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer, The Body Shop Radiance beads, Benefit Gimme Brow, Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer

Affordable April Favourites

Affordable April has opened my eyes up to a lot of those beauty bargains so let's waste no time and get stuck in to my absolute favourite finds.  There's even a few I'm yet to mention on Charming Compass, exclusive alert!

I was very surprised, good excited surprised, to have found so many, Boots 3 for 2, you have a lot of wonderful things to thank yourself for!

L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Noir Excess : Get them lashes!

As you will know already if you've been following Affordable April on Charming Compass, I recently review Soap & Glory's Thick & Fast Lashes mascara which left me hunting another.  L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess Noir was the chosen one but would this leave me any happier?

I do find it difficult to find drugstore mascaras which fit the bill, do the job, however we may have just hit the jackpot.  Thicker lashes, longer lashes, darker lashes ... pffttt, easily.

L'Oreal True Match Foundation : Giving Luminous Silk a run for its money?

It's no lie that everyone has been talking about how +L'Oreal Paris UK & Ireland True Match Foundation (TM) is 'the most incredibly dupe for Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation (GALS) you'll ever find'.  Is this really the truth?

With Affordable April underway it was time to get this beauty and give it a go for myself ...

L'Oreal Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur

+L'Oreal Paris UK & Ireland always try and blow all other drugstore brands out of the water with their skincare, but has their Skin Perfection Magic Touch Instant Blur, taken from their Skin Perfection line been one of the latest revelations?

Whilst L'Oreal basically advertise this product as being one which banishes unwanted pores, shine and 'irregularities' by 'blurring' them out, insert Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke.  Could this also be a good dupe for Benefit Porefessional (£24.50)?

L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow : Intense colour, intense results

With Affordable April taking over, next on the agenda is eyeshadows and what a better to start than with +L'Oreal Paris UK & Ireland Infalliable?

Priced at £6.99 from Boots, these are one of the top finds I have hunted out from the Drugstore.  The reasons why are as clear as the sparkles are in the shade I purchased Goldmine.  Smudge proof, crease proof, long lasting, basically a traffic stopping finish, this all seems to good to me true?!

Get illuminated - L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base, Pure Light Primer

If I'm completely honest, it was 3 for 2 in Boots and I was running out of time to look for a primer to fit the bill for Affordable April, so reached for the +L'Oreal Paris UK & Ireland Lumi Magique and finally headed to the till.  Not the proper way to do this I know but time was against me and the hairdressers was calling!

What pulled me to this primer in particular at a first glance, simple, the bottle.  Being a pearlescent white I was under the impression that it would act as an illuminator, giving me that dewy complexion, but is that exactly what happened?
