2015 favourites \ June-July

Mac Cinderella Collection : Pigments, Glitter and Powders

The world went Disney crazy when the Cinderella remake film was announced and then Mac put us even more in to a state of frenzy when they unveiled the Mac Cinderella collaboration.  Poised at my computer I managed to get my hands on a few bits from the line, Pretty it Up and Stepmother pigment, Cinderella Glitter, Iridescent Powder and the Beauty Powder.  For my complexion, the lipsticks and lip glasses were too nude so these beauties seemed the best options to make me feel like a true princess.  

Weekly makeup additions #4

Where are the weeks going?!  We're on the last of March and this time next week shall be recovering from consuming a ridiculous amount of chocolate ... nommy nommy nommy.  This week's makeup additions are some beauties which I've been loving, some new, some old and some forgotten loves.

Mac : Viva Glam Miley Cyrus

Wham Bam thank you +MAC Cosmetics, you've done it again with another corker collaboration with Miley Cyrus on your latest Viva Glam line including a sensational hot pink lipstick and lipglass.  A line where the full RRP of the product minus VAT goes towards helping women, men and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

Mac : Pedro Lourenço : Summer spash

Pedro Lourenço from Mac was a collection I absolutely couldn't wait to get my hands on this year.  It was the one release, aside from Summer Sirens from Charlotte Tilbury, quite obviously, I have been waiting for.  The day came and I was on it like a car bonnet to get most of the items that I wanted, yum yum!

The whole collection makes me go weak at the knees, quite literally I'm now sitting down.  I managed to pick up the eyeshadow quad and 3 lipsticks.  The only product I couldn't get my hands on was the colour base, however as this is a permanent mac product, I picked it up outside of the collection.

Top 5 Concealers : Hit the big time!

Concealers, the one item which I definitely would take me on a desert island, it's just freaking amazing!  Whether they are there to conceal those dark circles, mask redness or covering those pesky blemishes, if you've got the right concealer then you're on to an absolute winner winner chicken dinner.  

When you hit it big time with concealers you don't tend to stray, however I've hit a fair few bumnotes with them until, I found these jackpot winners, those bumnotes, they're for another time!

Disappointing Products : Take 1

Bloggers, it's what we do, throw products around, not literally as that could be quite messy, and share with your our thoughts, whether good or bad on them.  So, for a change I'm going to share with you 5 products which I wasn't blown away by and left me feeling with that little empty space of hmph.  That's right, welcome the D-word, which means we run, hide and pull a blanket over our heads...

My top 8 makeup brushes : revealed

Makeup brushes, they have me fascinated, no really I find them too interesting! So here we have a little insight in to those holy grail brushes, which I think are just peerfect.  In total there's 8, it was meant to be top 5 but I couldn't narrow it down, and if you don't have them already, well I could not recommend them enough, prepare yourself and put that drink down...

House of Fraser, Red Carpet Style : Red lips? : I won!

I've just updated this little post to let you lovely little cheekies know that I won this competition!  Quite literally, I never win anything so this email came as the biggest shock ever and I couldn't stop smiling, hence the exclamation marks!!  A huge thank you to +House of Fraser and I shall keep you all posted with the goodies which I pick up!  Now back to the original post ...  But yes, thank you!!

Well this is it folks, the last blog post for Bloguary!  I have to say, this has been incredibly exciting, completely throwing myself in to the deep end.  Going from trying to write a few posts when I can to writing 28, 1 per day for the duration of February.  WOW.  Who knew there were actually that many sneaky things hiding away in my room...!

It has also been a lot more challenging than I once thought, the time involved in getting everything, 'just right', it's more difficult than once predicted.  Working during the day, playing in the evenings and then finding the time to write a new blog post for each day did get a bit of a toughie.  Yet the excitement of sharing with you my beauty holy grails, new finds and even taking you on a few adventures has been a fantastic experience.

MAC recently released their A Fantasy of Flowers, a mineralized makeup collection for SS14, of course, the name instantly makes you want it to just warm up already!

Only very recently did I discover MAC makeup, obviously I had heard about it, but with everyone raving I wanted to find my favourites.  Anyway, a long story short, I caved and have now fallen in to a new relationship.  So here is a show and tell session with my spring fling.

Mac announced Rihanna as the spokeswoman for Viva Glam 2014 and she has now released her highly anticipated lipstick and lipglass.

Viva Glam is a range of makeup sold at MAC which gives every penny from the products sold to men, women and children who are living with or are affected by HIV/AIDS.

Rihanna's first limited edition Viva Glam range comes of ours, in the one colour she cannot be seen without.  A luscious, blue toned red.
