The Body Shop : Wild Argan Oil Range

Argan oil is taking the beauty world by storm at the moment and now +The Body Shop UK have caught on the bandwagon to produce their own indulgent wonder oil collection.

The Body Shop have done an incredible amount of PR surrounding this huge launch, so the benefits and results have big expectations.  Teaming up with the wonderful +Fleur DeForce The Body Shop showed us exactly what it takes for the Argan Oil range to be produced with their community fair trade partners.  Clink here for the link to that informative video.

To summarise, the Argan range is produced and sourced from the remote Atlas Mountains of Northern Morocco where following a traditional method of extraction is used by the Berber women of the Taraganine.

Pulling the nuts from the fruits is the first step, they are sundried and cracked open with bare hands to reveal 2 or 3 kernels.  This is where the selection process begins, only the best are picked which are then pressed, filtered and settled for 48 hours allowing plenty of time for the purest oil to be extracted.  From the plant to the nut, to the product, the extracted oil is then used in each product providing extra nourishing luxury to our skin.  Pretty amazing huh?

From the range I snapped up the body butter (as I'm obsessed with them) and the solid oil.

The body butter smells incredible, it is slightly richer than the others available, which for me my skin soft and supple, with that extra bit of glistening sheen.  My skin is left feeling beyond moisturised, like it has been lathered in the ultimate of luxury, at a fraction of the cost, boomtingaling.  One thing I did notice is that compared to the other body butters I use this is a lot thicker, so I would only apply this on evenings or days where you don't fancy wrestling with getting clothes on ...

I also got the hard oil which is used on those extra hard areas such as those knees, elbows and ankles.  Really, this isn't the most attractive thing to discuss, but especially with the recent whether turn here in the UK or those summer months for those of you who are lucky enough to still enjoy them, we don't want any icky areas on show.  Pop a bit of this on each area and they'll become more nourished, softened and ready to be flashed around!  The only downside to this is that you must ensure your hands are completely clean otherwise you'll get bits of fluff stuck inside, yuckadoodle...
