2015 favourites \ August

Every year we ask 'where has this year gone?', but 2015 really, where have you gone?!  August already, shops are opening their Christmas departments ... it's all too much!  There's been a fair few favourites for me this past month as I've been trying out lots of new bits and bobs, so here's my pick of the colourful bunch.

Jo Malone Mimosa & Cardamon, Milani Baked Bronzer in Glow, Jaclyn Hill Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop, Besame Brightening Face Powder, Nars Audacious Mascara, Mac Electric Cool in Superwatt, M Haskell jewlery

Let's jump straight in and get swimming in something launching in September from Jo Malone, and lemme tell you now, it's freaking dreamy, Mimosa and Cardamon Cologne*.  If you love the rich and fresh cologne's from Jo Malone which have a hint of spice then this is right up your street.  It reminds of me something but of what I can't put my finger on, but it's all I've been wearing for the past month and I'm still not fed up of it!

Cream eyeshadows are something I've really been loving recently so on a recent trip to America I picked up 4 of the colours from +MAC Cosmetics Electric Cool range and Superwatt ticks every single box for me.  A light shimmery taupe colour, perfect for the day and can be easily built for the night.  Blend like a dream, stay put throughout the day and it's the 4 I picked up (mainly Superwatt) are all I've worn for the past 3 weeks...

Finding a good 'ole fashioned bronzer nowadays is a tricky task, they're either too matte or too shimmery, but the Glow baked bronzer from Milani is my new favourite thing.  Bringing that golden glow to your skin, you shall feel and look like a bronzed goddess.  It's that good I actually purchased a backup because I got the fear of running out!

When you're looking to achieve that 'under eye brightening thing' just poping a normal setting powder on top of your concealer can dull it down, but the Brightening Vanilla Face Powder from Bèsame puts a solid boulder at that hurdle.  An extremely light yellow setting powder which is incredibly finely milled leaves it undetectable on the skin whilst brightening up the desired areas, insert heart-eyed emoji...

Next up is a favourite which continues from last months favourites in the form of Champagne Pop from the recent collaboration with +Jaclyn Hill and +BECCA Cosmetics.  There isn't much more to say in addition to last month other than, it's still the only highlighter to grace my cheeks since purchasing a couple of months ago, it's wonderful, it's love, it's just heaven.

Nars are launching their Audacious Mascara in September and whilst mascaras can be a difficult thing to form a relationship with, if you're looking for that one to add dramatic, unbeatable length without clumps and is long lasting then this is your fast pass to heaven.  It doesn't flake, stays put all day (even after the gym) and is easy to remove at the end of the day, winning!

Finally for this month I have a pair of earrings which I cannot stop wearing, whether to dress up a look or dress down, they're just wonderfully simple.  Purchased from +Macy's, they're tricky to track down online but if the are stumbled upon I'll pop a link in here.

What have been your August favourites and have you tried any of the things mentioned above?
