Chanel : Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder, Moonshine, Review and Swatches

A brilliant essential to anybody's night out or luxurious body collection, Chanel certainly deliver by offering a delicate loose finishing powder with small flecks of glitter, Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder in Moonshine.

From unscrewing the lid you will gasp and say the words 'oh WOW'.  The powder is like fairy dust, every girls dream, actual fairy dust.  A peachy smelling, looking fine grained dust with hidden flecks of glitter, ready for you to sparkle.

I love to use this on my body, arms, décolletage and neck when they're exposed on a night out or at an event.  You could use this as a loose powder and gently dab it straight on your skin using the powder puff (which comes with the product).  This will leave a loose glitter effect on your skin, as the camera flashes or the lights hit you, your skin will dazzle like stardust.

(without flash)

If you want the powder to stay in place a teeny bit longer though, I would advise mixing this in with your favourite moisturiser, then applying to your skin in circular motions.  To mix, I clean the inside of the lid, just wipe it with a tissue, then squirt in some of your moisturiser and tip in the dazzle dust from the pot.  Then when you've finished mixing and applying, simply wipe clean again and close the pot of magic.

I chose to use my Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion, it makes you go as gooey as the cream itself with the smell, texture and results!  Mixing with a moisturiser before smothering on to your skin means you'll have an all night subtle body shimmer, too yummy for words.

Using the powder with or without moisturiser will not leave your skin feeling like it has been caked in a film or change the colour of your skin.  The peachy pigmentation blends in to your skin tone and doesn't show unless light catches you and the glitter comes to life.

Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder, Moonshine is available from the Selfridges website for £36, definitely worth a sneak peak.  As you wouldn't use this on a day to day basis it the pot does last a while, you don't even need much to cover your body.  The long and the short, this 30g pot goes a long way so go on, be naughty and invest in some grown up fairy dust, reveal your inner princess!
