Bobbi Brown : Old Hollywood Eye Palette Review and Swatches

Bobbi Brown has taken the world of cosmetics by storm during the 2013 Holiday season, having purchased the Old Hollywood Eye Palette I can now see why and how.

Comprising of 9 shades (Ivory, Golden Pink, Gold, Opal, Beige, Chocolate Bronze, Candlelight Gold and Eclipse), there is a beautiful mix of eye shadows, metallic shadows and sparkle shadows.  Not only is this a good investment for the party season, but the colours offered are perfect to warm those eyes all year round on, complementing a lot of skin tones.

My favourite shades include Beige which is a perfect subtle brown, perfect for providing the outer corner of your eye with a bit of extra depth.  Candlelight Gold, an almost champagne gold tinted shadow is brilliant for providing that bit of subtle sparkle whilst providing a strong colour.  Finally, my third favourite is Chocolate Bronze, a delicious and inviting bronzy brown giving depth and a tiny bit of shimmer.   Don't get me wrong, I use every colour in this palette as they are all stunning, but these are my three most used.

Whilst Gold and Opal don't hold too much pigmentation the are brilliant for panning over your eye providing an extra glittery look.

From left to right we have:
Ivory, Golden Pink, Gold, Opal, Beige, Chocolate Bronze, Candlelight Gold and Eclipse.

At the moment this is my most used eye palette, all the colours hold their own, blend incredibly well and are long-lasting.

If you love a bit of added shimmer and sparkle on your eyes then this is definitely the palette for you. Whilst there are matte shadows included such as Beige and Fog, the majority are glitter or metallics, don't be put off by this.  The shimmer and glitter finish isn't going to coat your entire face in glitter, in fact it holds extremely well leaving minimal fallout and is very delicate on the eye.

Also included is a mini double ended shadow/liner brush adding that extra touch of luxury ... in fact it made me just want to grab a brush and make pretend my eyes were a canvas ready to be painted!

Bobbi Brown have captured Old Hollywood, packaged it in to one beautiful palette and this is the somewhat incredible result.

This is how Bobbi Brown have taken the Holiday cosmetics by storm, with pure beauty!  Old Hollywood is still available on The Bobbi Brown website, click here for £59.
