2015 Autumn makeup catalogue

With Autumn appearing and our warmer toned makeup being unearthed here's my Autumnal guide to your makeup bag.  Pull up a chair, grab a cuppa, we've got a fair few bits and bobs to go through ...

In this Autumnal makeup catalogue there are a few items which haven't changed from my usual routine as they're so fantastic they work all year round...

+Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Corrector is a must-have product in my makeup bag no matter the time of year thanks to it's capabilities of hiding those dark circles with a creamy product.  It doesn't move, blends beautifully to your skin and really does counteract the darker areas you may have.

+Estee Lauder Double wear stay-in-place flawless wear concealer is an exceptional creamy concealer which is an allrounder product covering dark circles, areas of redness and blemishes.  If you haven't tried it and are looking for a concealer that won't budge all day and more than do it's job, this is the one for you.

Bésame Cosmetics Brightening Vanilla Powder sets your makeup and adds a beautiful finish to your base no matter the season.  Its lightweight formula makes it virtually undetectable on the skin whilst adding that subtle brightness.

When it comes to brows I'm afraid there is only this winning duo that works for me and that is Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wizz in Caramel and Gimme Brow Gel from +Benefit Cosmetics in light/medium.

+NARS Cosmetics Audacious mascara is a beaut that you don't want to miss if you're looking for something to add serious length to your lashes then this will be your best friend.  It doesn't smudge, doesn't budge and is jet black, prepare for serious drama.  This is a new product which happened to be released around Autumn time but is now also an addition to the everyday routine...

Now we're on to the warmer toned items which I think are prefect for the Autumn, get those boots at the ready...

Chanel Perfection Lumière Velvet is a beautiful lightweight foundation.  Despite not holding much glow compared to Vitalumière Aqua it does still leave a smooth and flawless finish to your skin.

+NARS Cosmetics Seduction blusher is a divine warm crushed berry colour which to me screams Autumn leaves and cosy clothes.  As will all Nars blushers they are extremely pigment and Seduction falls straight in to that category, use with a light hand people!

+BECCA Cosmetics Shadow & Light Bronze/Contour Perfector is a brilliant option for warming up your skin in those cooler months.  You can either stick to the lighter side for bronzing and the darker for contouring or mix them both together to give a toasty glow to your skin.  I love this product as it isn't too dark, nor too light, in other words it's a great transition between seasons ...

+NARS Cosmetics Audacious kohliner is a fantastic product that gives you the darkest and smokiest finish.  It can be easily smudged in to the lashline, placed on the waterline or lightly put against the lashline to add depth.  This is a kohliner which doesn't move once distributed, glides on upon application and then doesn't move for the day, double bonus right?!

+MAC Cosmetics Mineralize Skin Finish in Soft and Gentle is a cult classic adored by many.  I love this highlighter for a subtle glow on the skin, which is perfect for those Autumn months when the leaves are beginning to fall around your feet.

+Sephora Collection Cream Lip Satin in Backberry Sorbet (14) is a beautiful matte lipstick in a deep crushed berry shade.  Usually I'm not a matte lip girl, I love me a good satin finish, but this is something I can wear easily for a good length of time without wanting to wipe it off.  There's not too much of a drying effect, intense pigmentation and incredible staying power!  Once more, when they do start to fade you're left with a lovely stain that can easily be turned in to a gloss with a hint of lip balm.  One thing's for sure, use an oil based eye makeup remover if you're looking to get it all off!

Again from the Sephora Collection comes the Oil Infusion and Lipcare in Fresh Berries, a delicate lip oil in a deep berry colour, perfect for layering over the Blackberry Sorbet Cream Lip Satin.  Whilst I didn't find this to be hugely pigmented I did love the finish it gave to my lips, a high shine with moisture for a good few hours.  Then when it fades away there's a lovely berry colour left on your lips.

+Makeup Geek completes my Autumn makeup catalogue with a selection of sensational eyeshadows in Pretentious (a golden bronze), Hipster (a taupe shimmer), Cocoa Bear (a deep warm red brown), Brown Sugar (a copper brown shimmer) and Showtime (a foiled red brown).  All of these shadows have show-stopping pigmentation, incredibly longevity and blend like no other.  If you haven't already tried these I cannot recommend them enough!
