Get the ultimate golden eye with Bobbi Brown Long Wear Shadow Stick and Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow

Golden eyes are something I'm loving at the moment, paired with a bronzed summer glow you're on to a winner for Summer.  My two staple products are the +Bobbi Brown Cosmetics Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in 24 Karat and the +Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow in Magic Act.

The Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow in 24 Karat is as the name suggests a wonderfully golden shimmery shadow stick.  Applied directly on the lid, no primer needed, this acts as essentially the glue and will hold everything in place.  I prefer to only apply this to the lid itself, not above the crease as this is for the neutral colours to tie everything together.  At this point I grab a blending blush and soften out the line and prep ready for the Foiled Shadow.

On top of the cream shadow I love to pack on the Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow in Magic Act.  Not only are the Makeup Geek shadows brilliant, they're now my favourite ever, creamy, easy to blend and highly pigmented, but their Foiled Eyeshadows are from another galaxy.  Another galaxy I tell you.  You hardly need anything to get colour on your lids and the effect is truly as though you have some sort of metalic foil there.  Once popped over the cream shadow the gold is intense, sparkly and in place for the whole day, just remember, in the words of +Jaclyn Hill blend until your arm falls off!  Blend the two together and you're nearly there.

In the crease to pull everything together and to soften the gold, ever so slightly, I tend to get a very fluffy brush, blend a bit of Purely Naked and Crème Brule from +Makeup Geek in to the crease and voila, you'll almost smell the summer sun landing on your face!

Do you have any favourite gold shadows for that ultimate summer bronzed look?
